What’s in a Name? How LS Equestrian Became Limitless Stride™

Names carry meaning.

 

They hold stories, moments, memories, and sometimes, they grow right alongside you.

For a long time, we were known simply as LS Equestrian.  But before that, we were Little Scribbles, named after my son’s very first pony. A cheeky Pintoloosa with more attitude than patience for plain brown tack. That pony was the beginning of everything.

When I couldn’t find tack that felt fun, bright, and built to last, I made it myself.

One bridle. A handful of colours. A lot of trial and error.

And then word spread.

From ponies to full-sized horses, from local riders to distance competitors, I started creating handcrafted BioThane® tack for people who wanted more. More durability. More personality. More function without the fuss.

That’s how Little Scribbles became LS Equestrian, a name that stuck, stitched into every piece and supported by riders around the world.

But lately, I found myself thinking… what does LS stand for now?

Because the brand has grown.

The riders have grown.
The purpose has grown.

Today, LS stands for Limitless Stride™.

It’s not just a new name. It’s a reflection of what this community, this gear, and this journey is really about.

Movement. Freedom. Confidence.

It’s tack that doesn’t just look good, it keeps up. In every moment. In every mile. In every stride.

From muddy paddocks to 160km endurance rides, from first ponies to show-day polish, our gear is made to move and made to last.

We still use the same genuine Beta® BioThane, the same marine-grade hardware, and the same UV-resistant bonded thread.

Every piece is still handmade in New Zealand.

And every order still starts with a rider’s story, just like yours.

 

So, what’s in a name?

 

Little Scribbles will always be where it started.

LS Equestrian built the foundation.

And Limitless Stride™ is where we’re headed, a name that holds onto the heart of what we do, while stepping into something even stronger.

Because we’re still that same small business, still rider-run, still custom by design, and still here because of loyal customers, word-of-mouth recommendations, and a global community that believes in doing things differently.
